Hytera, a global leading provider of innovative professional mobile radio (PMR) solutions, held the groundbreaking ceremony of its new headquarters building in Shenzhen on September 8th. Qingzhou Chen, Chairman and President of Hytera, along with the senior management team and representatives from the contractor and supervision institution, ritually laid the foundation for the 200-meter high building at the ceremony, which kicked-off of the construction and the drive towards Hytera’s 2020 objectives.
Echoing the key message shared at the Hytera Annual Corporate Strategy Meeting earlier in September, Qingzhou Chen pointed out at the ceremony that customers and employees have always been the focus of Hytera. Customer experience comes first when developing products and solutions, and likewise when designing the new headquarters building; it is an employee and visitor-friendly space, which facilitates and embraces openness, innovation and collaboration. The building will adopt wide-open design without any huge column in the office space and have Garden-in-the-Air and sightseeing platform on top level of podium buildings.
Earlier in September, the leaders and the selected senior professionals of Hytera’s global subsidiaries and headquarters gathered in Shenzhen to discuss and set the company’s objectives and strategy for the following three years. At the conference, Qingzhou Chen emphasized four successful factors that matter for Hytera’s future success-
1. Be a trust-worthy company and a responsible corporate citizen in the markets where we operate.
2. Deliver customer values by solving their problems with Hytera’s advanced and customized PMR solutions valued by the customers.
3. Develop and execute a pragmatic strategy and roadmap of products and solutions innovation so we can lead the innovation of the PMR industry.
4. Adopt Hytera’s “1 or 0” principal in whatever we choose to do, i.e, either do it best or not to do it at all.
The new headquarters does walk the talk of Hytera’s “1 or 0” principle. Hytera has hired Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP(SOM), one of the best architecture, interior design, engineering, and urban planning firms in the world, to design the new headquarters building. SOM’s renowned works include the iconic buildings like Burj Dubai Tower and New York’s landmark – New World Trade Centre. Hytera has demonstrated its pursuit to excellence and perfection through its new headquarters building from overall concept to design details.
With its completion in the year 2020, Hytera’s new headquarters building will be a new landmark of Houhai area, which is planned by Shenzhen City as the hub of headquarters of global companies. The building has 6,000 sqm ground space and 120,000 sqm floor area. And the total investment is around 3 billion RMB. The building will have two towers with full-steel structure. The South Tower will be 42 levels and more than 200-metre high; while the North Tower will be about 50-metre high with around 20,000 sqm of floor area including 4 underground levels. The new headquarters building will be able to accommodate more than 6,000 employees.
